Vision, Passion & Imagination

I live for others, my grandmother use to say it's a gift and a curse but it never stops me from showing up. I started my community works over 20 years ago as a way of changing my life, I started by giving the coat off my back and a blanket out my trunk to a woman that was sleeping on a sidewalk in northside which is the neighborhood I come from. It was the feeling I had afterwards that sparked something in me, I had taken from the community for my own selfish reasons for so long that thinking outside of myself was never something I would have ever did that is until i found out I was going to be a mom.

I am a survivor of domestic abuse where i was stripped of so much more of dignity, i was made to feel so worthless in so many ways that at times I wanted to kill myself, in life we have to remember to always take care of ourselves mentally, as well as physically. Not to love another more than we love ourselves & to always CHOOSE YOU 1st. In my season of healing I learned that Self care means giving the world the Best of you NOT what's Left of you!!!
